Informal Intent (-(으)ㄹ래요)
-(으)ㄹ래요
Expresses the speaker's casual intention or asks about the listener's preference.
Pattern
Verb stem + -(으)ㄹ래요
Explanation
-(으)ㄹ래요 is used to express the speaker's intention or to casually ask someone what they want to do. It is more informal and personal than -(으)ㄹ 거예요 and is typically used in casual or friendly settings.
When used as a statement, it expresses what the speaker wants or intends to do: 저는 집에 갈래요 (I want to go home / I'll go home). When used as a question, it asks the listener's preference: 커피 마실래요? (Would you like to drink coffee?). The question form is a softer, friendlier alternative to -(으)ㄹ까요?
This pattern is restricted to first person (statement) and second person (question) usage. You cannot use it to describe a third person's intentions. It is not appropriate in very formal situations. Use -ㄹ래요 after vowels and ㄹ, and -을래요 after consonants.

Correct
